The new Arriva fleet in Galicia has a passenger extraction system in cases of emergency, in all the seats of its vehicles. It is a new system, pioneer in Spain and unique in Galicia, which is used to rescue people trapped in vehicles, without the need to move them from their seats and in a faster and safer way. That is why these seats are known as lifesaver seats. Arriva buses have been the first in the sector to incorporate this system in 2021, and the only ones in Galicia.
As part of Arrivas commitment to reduce the global impact of its operations, Arriva has implemented the WEBFLEET system at a European level.
WEBFLEET is a fleet management system that allows a comprehensive view of the fleet and provides valuable information for detecting areas for improvement in our network. It works by alerting drivers about their driving in real time: braking, acceleration and idling information. This information is useful to improve driving, reduce fuel consumption and reduce CO2 emissions.
Arriva has a regular tire pressure check system at its facilities. It is estimated that around 20% of the total consumption of the car is due to tire rolling. With the optimum pressure, the tire is capable of distributing the weight of the vehicle over the area in contact with the asphalt and thus driving safely, economically and efficiently. These types of devices help reduce CO2 emissions
